Geography

Malaysia is on the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. The territory of Malaysia exceeds the New Mexico area a little.

The most part of Malaysia is covered with the wood. The woods provide the population with an ebony, a santalaceous tree, a tic and other breeds.

History

Ancestors of people who now occupy the Malaysian peninsula migrated in area in 1500 BC. Those who now live in coastal areas, had close contact with Chinese and Indians; seafarers from India brought Hinduism which was mixed with local animistic belief. As Muslims won India, they started extending religion of Islam and to Malaysia.

The British and Dutch interest in Malaziya's territory grew in the 1800th the British East Indian company. In the 1880th Great Britain formally established protectorate in Malaysia.

Approximately in too time rubber trees were delivered from Brazil. With mass production of cars rubber became valuable goods, and unskilled workers were imported from India to work at rubber plantations.
