Albania is located on east coast of the Adriatic Sea, in the north borders on Montenegro and Serbia, to the east on Macedonia and in the south on Greece. Albania consists of two largest areas: the mountain area (the North, the East and the South) of about 70% of all area of Albania and the western coastal area which consists of arable lands and is the most densely populated part of Albania.Form of government
In ancient times Albania was part of Illyria later the Roman Empire, and then it the Byzantine Empire with 535 to 1204godov operated. The union (1444–1466) of the Albanian heads didn't stop progress of Ottoman Turks, and the country remained at, at least, nominal Turkish board more than four centuries until it declared the independence on November 28, 1912.
Generally agricultural, Albania - one of the poorest countries in Europe. A battlefield during World War I, after war, it became the republic in which the conservative Muslim owner, Ahmed Zogu, declared himself the president in 1925 and the king (Zog I) in 1928. It operated until Italy took Albania in 1939. Communistic guerrillas under Enver Hoxha seized power in 1944 about The War of the End of the World of II. Hoxha was Stalin's adherent, imitating repressive tactics of the Soviet leader, imprisoning or executing land owners and others which didn't correspond to a socialist ideal. Hoxha eventually tore with the Soviet communism in 1961 because of distinctions for Khrushchev and then joined the Chinese communism which it also left in 1978 after Mao's death. Since then Albania went in the own way to forge its separate version of the socialist state and became one of the most isolated — and economically underdeveloped — the countries in the world.
